What's New? Part 4
Since our immediately previous post finished up talking about Equipment Rental Training Videos, we felt we needed to deal with the other shoe dropping and the begged question: What about other products?
In answer to that, here you go!
Other Product Training Video Availability, etc.
For those using Summit Route Management™, we will have the first group of training videos ready in August. The setup and users’ guides will also be available by then, but the eBook: 8 Secrets to Increase Profits through Route Management is available now. Check out the five intro videos at www.ritam.com for good overview information in the meantime.
Those using Summit Service Profit Builder™ and Summit Rendering Profit Builder™ should see some initial training videos in August as well (maybe even in July). The setup and users’ guides are being authored, and the eBook: 16 Secrets to Increase Profits in the Service Industry is almost complete. Look for the eBook in July along with the Version 4.01.b release (when the guides are finished). For now, the intro videos available at www.ritam.com provide good background information for new users.
Summit Reminders Plus™ has all new setup and users’ guide, and an initial training video. We will use the same eBook for Reminders customers, since all of the information applies to their businesses. Again, look for that in July, and development of the “Pro” version will begin in August. Your thoughts and comments on what you would like to see in this Pro version would be helpful.
Summit Maintenance Plus™ has a new eBook: 8 Secrets to Increase Profits through Fleet Maintenance available now for users at www.ritam.com (login required). An intro video is also available there for all viewers. A “Pro” version will begin in October, and any ideas or comments for what to include in the Pro version are most welcome. An updated setup and users’ guide will be available when the Pro version is completed.
Summit Incentives Plus™ has an intro video available (www.ritam.com) for all viewers and should have an eBook in September. (Stay tuned on that.) A “Pro” version is being contemplated, and suggestions are very welcome. An updated setup and users’ guide will be produced along with revisions done in preparation for the Pro version, which should be in the November/December timeframe. An eBook related to this product will come out around the same time.
Summit Contacts Plus™ will get a new eBook and updated setup/users’ guide by January 2011. (As you can imagine, planning around here can get a little hairy.) “Pro” version ideas are welcome, keeping in mind that connectivity to more than just Summit Rental Profit Builder will be included in the base version. We intend to make getting information into and out from Contacts will be expanded and simple, as it currently is for links with the Rental program.
Plus product training videos in general will be developed concurrent to the Pro versions. With the intro videos currently available, and the relative ease of using the Plus products, the need for in-depth training has not been as critical. Still, we want to round out our product offerings in each area and offer the same tools for each. Pricing on Plus product training videos will be inexpensive, like the products themselves.
So maybe that was more information than you bargained for, but I don’t think it reached the point where you said “Too much information!” As with any planning, we try to have an optimistic start but then factor in reality to work out our “realistic” timeframes. Circumstances can and will change, but we are dedicated to improving our products and our services for you.
By helping support us, we can better support you. If you have a need for any of our new service offerings (graphic design, video production, social media management), please let us know. We all need to pull together to get through these tough economic times to the halcyon days of prosperity again. (Yes, I had to look up the definition to ensure I got the usage correct, but I always wanted to say that.)
Stay tuned and plugged in. Comments are always welcome:

What's New? Part Three
Okay, so the last few posts have had a lot of content. However, that’s the tip of the iceberg! To complete what we started in the previous posts, this post rounds out new offerings and brings you up to speed on progress with current developments.
Here’s a quick breakdown (part 3 of 3) followed by some details:
• Create or update you company identity with our logo and graphic design services
• Market your company in new ways with our company and product introductory video production service
• Version 4.x product upgrade discounts expire soon
• Rental training videos number up to 80!
Graphic Design Services
Since we have a talented person already on staff, the light bulb went on one day (not “off”, like most people say), and we realized that we are missing a great opportunity to share those skills with our current customers and others. Duh! You don’t have to hit us over the head with a board too often before we start paying attention.
Anyway, we will be posting some samples of company logos and letterhead at www.letsgetsocial.biz, and we may also post them at www.ritamtech.blogspot.com, but there is some debate as to whether that would confuse our message from Ritam. So for now, expect references from the Ritam blog to go look at the social media blog for details. That seems to make the most sense. We want to keep the focus on the Ritam site to our core (software) products. If you have an opinion, please share!
What’s really cool about Stephanie is her ability in graphic design to boil down the essence of the message in a clear, concise manner while drawing on modern lines and colors to upgrade any company’s image. I particularly love the “Fortune Properties” logo. Doesn’t that say it all?!
Not only can we can do logos, letterhead, and web page concepts (colors, layout, etc.), we can also do marketing/promotional materials (brochures, fliers, etc.) and anything/everything that requires graphic arts. Help us put that college education to use!
Video Production Services
What? Video? Why would we want that?
You may have seen some of our intro videos, like on our website: www.ritam.com or what we share on YouTube: www.youtube.com/user/ritamtech. Think of the power of video: A picture is worth a thousand words. With video, it is a series of pictures, with sound! That has to be worth at least tens of thousands of words.
With video, you get to tailor your message to exactly what you want your customers to hear. Put your best foot forward. Show them the breadth of your product line. Show them your commitment to excellent and the depth of your experience. Nothing says that better than video.
Noah’s voice-over has just the right touch of bass authority while retaining a playful friendliness that rivets the audience. Gosh, if he can make software training interesting, imagine what he can do for your company!
Share the results on your website, links to YouTube in your emails, etc., etc. The possibilities are endless, and the cost is similar to producing a new color brochure, but it is much more compelling and effective. Video is how business gets done nowadays. Check out additional information at www.letsgetsocial.biz, and we can get right on making your company shine! (We’re pretty darn good at this.)
Version 4 Product Upgrade Discounts Expire Soon
Unless you have been living under a rock, you know about our version 4 product releases. It started with our Summit Reminders Plus™ program (February 2010, featured on www.ritam.com and an Expo feature www.pumper.com) and has swept across all of our products. If you have our Equipment Rental product but also perform pumping services, you owe it to yourself to invest about $100 to get Summit Reminders Plus and expand that side of your business while managing it more effectively.
June 30 will see the expiration of the additional 10% off we are offering for pre-payment on any product upgrade. In the future, pre-payment will be required for major purchases, like an upgrade, but the extra discount will not be available.
There are some key features we are making available in 4.01.b product versions, particularly with the Profit Builder series of products. If you have 4.00.a, special arrangements can be made to update to incorporate these new features. Details can be found in the “Licensed Summit User” area (bottom/left) of our website (www.ritam.com) after you log in (upper/right). We are rolling out these changes first with our Equipment Rental program, and they include:
• Restructuring of A/R Balance Inquiry for clarity and instant access to all customers, whether paid in full or not
• Email and bulk email capabilities for invoice and statement printing (single-click operation)
• Improved management of credit card customers
• Re-written setup guide and users’ guide (with screen and report shots)
• eBook: 17 Secrets to Increase Profits in the Equipment Rental Industry
• And more!
Check out details online at www.ritam.com and get your order in before June 30 to save an extra 10%!
Rental Training Video Subscriptions
You may not know this, but our library of Equipment Rental software training videos now number 80! Those who are subscribers have 24/7 online access to get the information they need to be productive Summit Rental users. The goal is over 150 videos in total, and we move forward with 5-7 newly produced each week.
Subscribing is an excellent means of getting new employees up to speed quickly and to have management gain the hands-on understanding that they may lack from not using the system on a daily basis. You can start at anytime and cancel anytime before the next billing. It’s a great way to stay on top with your Summit program!
Special pricing is available for those who combine monthly training or tech support options with access to training and mastering videos. Check out details at www.ritam.com (login required).
Whew! That was a lot to write! Hope you enjoyed it and gathered some great information. We aim to please. Make sure to come back and check out our future postings, make friends with us, and follow along! Comments are always welcome:

What's New? Part Two
What’s new (continued)?
Well, quite a bit, if our previous post was any hint. In fact, there’s so much going on right now, we are finding it hard to keep up.
In this current posting, we want to let you know of a set of new services we are offering. Until now, we have reserved these services to “in-house” use. With the economy the way it is, there is no better mantra to use than “diversify”. And what better way to diversify than capitalize on the experience and skills we already have but apply them in different ways or to different markets?
That’s exactly what we are now doing by offering three new services: 1) Graphic Design, 2) Video Production, and 3) Social Media Management. The first two will be addressed specifically in our next posting (Hey, we have to keep you coming back for more!), but the last one is covered now. Here’s a quick breakdown (part 2 of 3) followed by some details:
· New ways to build your business using our social media management services. See our blog: www.letsgetsocial.biz
· Our new social media YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/user/letsgetsocialbiz
· Our new social media Facebook friends: www.facebook.com/letsgetsocialbiz
· Our new social media Twitter updates: www.twitter.com/getsocialbiz
Build your Business with Social Media
With any business, there are certain tasks required, whether they are part of the core operation or not. For example, everyone needs an accounting system.
Today’s marketplace has a new demand upon our time: Social Media. What is it? How can you grow your business with it? Why would I need to manage it? These are the questions we answer on our specialized blog: www.letsgetsocial.biz. Check out the answers to those questions, and you will understand why Pepsi pulled its advertising from the SuperBowl this year (2010) and redirected those resources to building their social media outreach!
Social media is the means to connect with your customers and reach out to potential new customers. It is doing in a more personal way what the Yellow Pages could never do, and that is to build trust on a deeper level and interact with people to ensure they are predisposed to using your services and won’t go anywhere else once you have established that relationship.
The point of the story, is that it is really another requirement of being in business today. Since you just didn’t get more time in the day, the question is then who will be trained to take on this new task, and do we have enough time to do it ourselves? That’s where we can help. Check out our informational blog: www.letsgetsocial.biz, and we can lift that burden from your shoulders and assist building your business in new and more powerful ways.
While you’re at it, become our Facebook friend at www.facebook.com/letsgetsocialbiz and follow us on twitter at www.twitter.com/getsocialbiz or simply @getsocialbiz.

Send your friends and associates to our new YouTube channel! We will be posting introductory videos on the company, our products, and services. Some of these will also be found on our website, but some will be exclusive to YouTube.
Granted, the video quality on YouTube suffers tremendously, but they have to compress images down in order to host the millions of videos that they have. It is another way to stay connected and share information, so please check out our channel and pass on the link: www.youtube.com/user/ritamtech
New Facebook Page
We finally broke down and caved into the pressure. Our Facebook page is now up and running. We will be filling in the details and formatting colors and links over the next few days. Look for a company group photo and an intro video soon!
Link to us at www.facebook.com/ritamtech. Come be our friend!
New Twitter Page
If we’re doing Facebook, we just have to do Twitter! So follow us at www.twitter.com/ritamtech, since we will be sending condensed updates from our blog directly through Twitter. One way or another, we will ensure that you get the latest info and hot tips from Ritam Technologies!
This seems like a good spot to stop. Be warned, that doesn't mean we're finished! There's plenty more announcements to make on what's new, so check back soon for part 2 of this 3 part article.
